Can I Use Ricotta Cheese Instead Of Paneer?

I had found an interesting recipe of Paneer-Potato Curry. Basically stuffing the Potato with Paneer filling and tossing it in a spicy curry. I am out of Paneer but have lots of Ricotta Cheese. Is it ok to use Ricotta Cheese instead or will be too soft to stay inside the potato?Thanks for all the suggestions

I would have to think it would spill out of the potato, and I would further worry about it clumping when it combines with whatever you are using for a curry sauce.
