Does This Sound Good: Eggs And Marmalade On An English Muffin?

Filed in Category English Cheeses

I’m trying to come up with a brunch idea to eat. Do you think a fried egg atop a marmalade smeared english muffin sounds good? Would cream cheese mixed in with the marmalade be good too?

Yummy!!! I always make fried eggs and english muffins. Definately sounds good too with marmalade.
If its mixed it would taste like the ones you can buy in the store (with cream cheese)

If you use a small amount of marmilade. How about a slice of candian bacon as well.
This recipe for a Ham Egg Bake is fantastic. No potatoes or bread like most breakfast casseroles:
This Ham Egg Bake is perfect for brunch.
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    1 cup shredded gouda cheese
    1 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
    8 – 10 green onions, sliced
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 cups cubed ham
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    8 eggs
    1 3/4 cup milk
    Salt & Pepper
    13 x 9 glass baking dish
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Lightly grease
    the baking dish, set aside.
In large saute pan, turn to medium heat,
add butter. When melted add mushrooms,
saute 5 minutes, add onions cook 5 minutes,
    stirring often. Remove from pan.
Add diced ham to pan and cook 4 – 5 minutes
until water evaporates. Place on paper towels to
    absorb excess liquid.
In a bowl add flour and milk, whisk to combine.
Add eggs, whisk until blended and fluffy.
Combine the cheese; sprinkle into the greased
pan. Sprinkle ham, mushroom and onions over
cheese. Season with salt & Pepper, slowly pour
    egg mixture over ingredients.
Place in oven and bake for 35 – 45 minutes or
until a knife inserted near the center comes out
clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

I just don’t associate eggs with something sweet so I would be reluctant to try it – it doesn’t SOUND good. Also, you would be using a fork- right? I think of jam and english muffins as something you eat with fingers, while English muffins with poached or fried eggs as more of a meal – with meat, cheese, spinach or crab usually.
