How much does a Swiss Cheese Fondue cost in a restaurant in Bern, Switzerland?
Are there any restaurants in the area that you can offer to me that sell that?
I am so looking forward to my visit there and this looks something SO YAMMI

First of all: Cheese Fondue is NOT a Swiss specialty but originates from the neighbouring Franche Comté and Savoie region in France. I know, the Swiss don’t like to hear this – but there are more such myths around in this country…
Anyway, it’s very popular to eat Fondue in Switzerland. Be ready to spend between 25 and 40 Sfr. per person at a restaurant. Yes, it’s expensive, that’s why the Swiss usually do it at their own homes.
Recommending a restaurant in Berne that serves Fondue? In my eyes, this wouldn’t make any sense. Just walk the town and follow the cheesy smell. There are heeps of restaurants that serve it. Just as a sample: Brasserie Anker (http://www.roeschti.ch/en/index.html )
Mr Who is only partly right. The Anker is NOT for fondue, just beer and maybe rösti. Living in Berne as I do I propose the ‘Harmonie’ for fondue, see the link, it is recognised as one of the best fondue restaurants in Switzerland. http://www.harmonie.ch/angebot/fondue-tr…
