actually you can eat it but most people that i have seen eat this kind of cheese don’t like to eat it. if you are serving it as an appetizer, you leave the rind on and don’t precut it. Serve it on a plate with a knife available for your guests to use and they can slice it for themselves ( and by slicing it i mean slicing the rind and taking it with the rest of the cheese they take
scooping out just the soft part is rude.). The individual will remove the rind themselves if they don’t want it. I recommend eating it with some really good, from a real bakery, French Bread. It is so good!
You dont want to eat it.I love cheese aswell but know not to eat the rind. It’s not ment to be eatten.
A lot of cheese rinds are edible and some poeple consider them an important part of the cheese flavor. If you dont want to eat them simply cut them off as you eat it. Do not cut it all off at once because the cheese will dry out. Dont eat the label/sticker though.
those types of cheese should be served at room temp. at whch time the rind should just peel off easily. if its red that is wax .score it with a sharp knife like you would an orange then either peel or break it off
