Is French Blue Cheese Vegetarien?

I have a dilema. I’m living in India and i somewhow got some of this french blue strong cheese, and had the locals eat it….
But they said it can’t be vegetarien…? What to do?

    Never looked at the ingredients for blue cheese, but all the artisan traditional European cheeses here in Canada (gouda, emmental, edam, roquefort, etc) contain animal rennet. The exceptions are BabyBel (which is made in France) and some kind of cream cheese the name of which I forget, but both are major manufacturers. I think it boils down to how big the cheese company is. Small places = not vegetarian.

    It depends on the manufacturer, you’d need to check with them.
    but if its traditional its unlikely to be veggie.
    If its made in France, you can almost certainly rule it out.
