I know you probably dont live in my area, but do stores such as Wal-Mart sell greek cheese? I live in the Hickory, N.C. area.

Is Greek Cheese Available At Local Grocery Stores?

Feta is in my local store – which is a small town in southeast Texas.
I would be somewhat shocked if you didn’t have it up in your stores.
I mean – - if I could find it when I was on a trip down to south Texas – near the Mexican border even – and saw it in grocery stores – not even one of the big chains.
Maybe you just need to ask someone where it is – you have just missed seeing it??
You can find Feta at any grocery store, and at Wal-Mart. Most places carry several varieties, such as plain, garlic and herbs, or black peppercorn.
Other popular Greek cheeses such as kasseri, anevato, graviera, manouri, myzithra will only be found at larger grocery stores with cheese departments- like Central Market, or at specialty shops.
Feta cheese, if that’s the Greek cheese your asking about, is usually pretty readily available in most grocery stores in most areas.
Greek cheeses as in fetas and goat cheese? Every super walmart I’ve been to has them.
Odds are if you have a Supercenter Walmart you may find Feta, maybe Kasseri, which is great on pizza… Good luck.
