You can syndicate both the entries using Cheese Feeds and the Cheeze for Kids Comment Feed.
No! Absolutely not! Dogs are lactose intolerant. You’re kill it.
I have fed all my puppies cheeses (usually dairy lea) to try and train them and they have been fine…
If you are going to give them milk try and give them full-fat milk or buy the puppy milk sold in pet shops if you can.
Don’t give them too much cheese as it can give them diarrhoea, but my vet told me that small amounts can help with the growth of their bones.
Good luck
I’d say no, but my aunt does train her dog with cheese.
Yes it is ok but you do not want to give it to him on a daily basis. Maybe just a slice of cheese once every week or every two weeks; same with the milk. Its not something you necisarily want to give your dog a lot.
that’s fine my dog eats cheese all the time. it won’t hurt him at all.
Your pup is not meant to have diary in his system and allowing him to have it regularly will cause diarrhea, which will quickly dehydrate him and possibly kill him.
It is perfectly fine, you will not kill your dog and they aren’t lactose intolerant. I regularly give my dog cheese as a treat, dairy will help their bones as it does ours. My dog also loves milk but make sure you only feed this to your pet in small regulated doses, otherwise you can give it diarrhoea and that isn’t pleasant for the dog or the owner.
Don’t worry too much but make sure your puppy has a balanced diet to help it grow properly inside and out.
Milk, not so much….. I mean, tiny amounts are ok but really its not good for them or necessary.
Cheese is OK, again, in slight amounts. I use cheese as a treat from time to time when training my malamute. Sometimes I put some grated up on top of his wet/dry food mix if he’s being a finicky eater that night… but cheese is reserved for special occasions in the doggy world!
EDIT- and no, dogs are not lactose intolerant.. No mammalian species save man is lactose intolerant. One of the 3 characteristics of being a mammal is that they ingest MILK, so dogs can certainly digest lactose and the other associated milk-sugars, HOWEVER, in moderation. That said, I see no reason why an adult dog would need or want cow’s milk.
You mean cow’s milk? Most dogs are lactose intolerant so if your dog can’t take lactose, he might get stomach ache, diarrhea & lots of gas build up in his stomach!
Most cheese are also made from cow’s milk. Maybe a tiny piece of cheese just for a taste won’t harm him. You could try giving him goat’s milk instead or milk that’s made especially for dogs. Most dogs will do fine on goat’s milk but again, just let him try a little bit & that’s it. It’s not necessary to give it to him all the time. Nutritionally, it will do nothing for him.
@ Peter, most dogs (not all) are lactose intolerant which means they do not have the digestive enzyme to break down the sugars in the milk. This is the reason why most dogs & even puppies have problems from drinking cow’s milk.
yes its ok it wont kill it BUT there is one problem be careful with the cheese or dairy you buy because some can have ecoli also it can give parasites to your dog but if you only give it to him/her in moderation he’ll/she’ll be fine. Heres a website telling you whats good and not.

Well, I just went online and research whether it is ok to give dogs milk or cheese and surprisingly enough I found numerous sites that say dogs can be lactose intolerant. I then called my vets office and asked if this was true. The vet tech I spoke to told me it is and that they have advised many people to quit giving their dogs dairy products. “Cow’s milk is different from the mother’s milk that dogs produce to feed their pups.” she said.
