I would think so.

    Absolutely

Sure. But blending your own is far better. I have the shredding attachment for my mixer, so shredding 3 Italian cheeses takes less than 10 minutes and can be stored in the freezer.

Yes, though you can’t specify the amount of each type of cheese going in to the recipe so the taste/texture/results may be a little different than planned.

yes it is & if you want more of one cheese than another you may buy the shredded cheeses separate as well for example you could buy the italian cheese blend & the buy an extra shredded if you want more of that.

I do so therefore it is OK. lol

Of course, for a casserole. It will all melt together anyway.

Yup, that should be fine. Although, if you prefer to have more of one type of cheese than others, it is better to make your own.

I find it to do just fine.

your choice of cheeses is entirely up to you– use whatever ones you want without worrying about various changes. it will only mildly change the food- cheeses are interchangeable

it depends on the flavor you are looking for in the casserole — but it should be fine and its much easier than shredding (and buying) each individual type of cheese — just look on the package to see what cheeses are in the blend so that you know for sure

*** All do it all the time, the only thing I never buy is the powder kind of parmesan cheese *
I like the real stuff when it comes to parmessan cheese. The blends are really good and usually cheaper in price.
