Question about an asiago cheese substitute?

Filed in Category Asiago Cheese

This is probably a stupid question but I really don’t cook anything new that often. Would it be completely gross if I used blue cheese as a substitute for asiago cheese in a meatloaf recipe?

It will not give the same flavor as the nutty taste of Asagio Cheese.

If you can’t find Asiago, substitute aged Parmesan Cheese.

Not a stupid question at all: Asiago is wonderfully interchangeable with Parmesan, Romano, or aged Gouda in most recipes.

If you want your meatloaf to taste like blue cheese its ok. Its taste is much more assertive than asiago. What about the blue burger it uses blue cheese. I would give it a shot just use it sparingly about 2 ounces per pound is my recomend.
