You can syndicate both the entries using Cheese Feeds and the Cheeze for Kids Comment Feed.
you can make it with a white sauce , which consists of milk, butter and flour instead of ricotta and top with mozzarella cheese.
since you don’t like the flavor, don’t go with cottage cheese or cream cheese, they have similar tastes. i use lots of mozzarella, and Parmesan to sprinkle on top. it works great.
,I don’t ever use ricotta or cottage cheese, I use provolone or mozzarella.
You can replace it with cottage cheese like a lot of recipes out there – but they might think that’s worse.
cream cheese or just stick to other cheeses like Parmesan, jack, provolone, mozzarella, asiago and even cheddar. Cheddar isn’t traditional but cooking for your family is about what they like not what everybody else does. Marscapone is a lot like ricotta but much smoother. Cottage cheese same kind of deal but is generally a little lumpier than ricotta.
try my recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (32 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
32 ounces cottage cheese
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 eggs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons dried parsley
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
9 lasagna noodles
1/2 cup water
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet over medium heat brown the ground beef. Drain the grease. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, 2 cups of the mozzarella cheese, eggs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, salt and ground black pepper.
To assemble, in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish evenly spread 3/4 cup of the sauce mixture. Cover with 3 uncooked lasagna noodles, 1 3/4 cup of the cheese mixture, and 1/4 cup sauce. Repeat layers twice. Top with 3 noodles, remaining sauce, remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Add 1/2 water to the edges of the pan. Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree F(175 degrees C) oven for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving
I mix 8 oz of softened cream cheese with 16 oz of sour cream and use this in place of ricotta cheese. SO DELICIOUS! I usually use neufchatel cheese with regular sour cream to cut the fat content.
skip the ricotta and use a mix of the mexican flavor cheeses
cream cheese
I always use cottage cheese and sour cream. cooking it long enough you can never tell theres cottage cheese in it
you could try mozzarella or cottage cheese
I don’t even know why you use ricotta in lasagna in the first place. The only cheese I use is parmesan (sprinkled on top) and slices of mozzarella. To me, the cheese is just there to lubricate it a bit – it’s really all about the rich, herby tomato sauce and whatever different kinds of meat you can get in there.
cottage cheese- drain it and blend it
cottage cheese or a white cream sauce.
Mozzarella cheese its the best!!! its nice and cheesy and stringy. you could also substitute it for meat if your a vegetarian…hope i helped ten points plz
