Why Is My Pineapple Cream Cheese Spread Grainy?

i made pineapple cream cheese spread not too long ago, and i used cream cheese, mayo, and crushed pineapple, and ive had the stuff before and it was creamy, then i went taste mine and its got a grainy texture from the cream cheese, what did i do wrong?

ewww, no idea! Maybe try beating it w/ an electric mixer or in the FP?
did you start with room temp cream cheese? that can often make a different mouth feel. pineapple is very acidic maybe it did something to the cream cheese such as a curdle. maybe the cream cheese was old, or past its prime.
Cheap brand or old cream cheese. I say use generic when possible but somethings just can’t be substituted like Philadelphia cream cheese, Heinz or Hunts ketchup , miracle whip and good shampoo!
