Wine To Serve With Italian Cheese & Fruit Course?

Filed in Category Italian Cheeses

I’m having an Italian dinner party and I’m serving several different wines. I’ve already picked out prosecco(before dinner), pinot bianco(antipasto), riesling(salad) and chianti(lasagna), and I was wondering what a good wine is to serve with Italian cheese and fruit?

Why not pull out some beer as well?
A good Witbier would go very well with some cheese.

Hmmm…I’ll just make some general recommendations – I’m sticking with an Italian theme, by the way:
Barberesco or Barolo for your softer cheese
Brunello and even a Montepulciano for your sharper cheese
Even your Prosecco can work with the cheese.

I like Barbera and Soave Classico with cheese
